ABOUT THE PROJECT

Wheels & Feels is a music/ cycling series where I film some of my bike routes and compose original music to them. 

When I cycle through the streets of New York, time moves in peculiar ways. It’s not only my commute but also my get-away, and wether I’m doing one of my memorized routes or trying to get lost on a weekend - I strongly feel the contrast of the pace of the city with the suspension of time I get every time I’m on two wheels.

This series tries to capture that very feeling. Anything can happen once I jump on my bike and that freedom is what fuels my passion. Come back every two weeks for a new episode!

ABOUT ME

I’m a Turkish composer based in New York. I also actively work in London and Istanbul. My creative output ranges from acoustic concert music to movie scores, to purely electronic pieces. My music has been presented internationally, often developed through close collaboration with performers. Alongside composing, I work as a conductor and performer, particularly in contexts that bring different artistic practices and formats together.
